Sylvie Dionne becomes Director of Culture & Talent at Group Germain Hotels
Montreal (Quebec), September 5, 2018 — Group Germain Hotels is pleased to announce the appointment of Thierry Eck as General Manager of Le Germain Hotel & Spa Charlevoix. Thierry already has experience managing this resort property having occupied the role of Director of Operations since March 2018.
Thierry has decades of experience in hotel management. After completing his studies in Nice, he made his mark in Monte Carlo before immigrating to Canada, where he held management positions at several major international chains. Over the years, his management career has taken him to the Dominican Republic, Aruba, the Bahamas and Panama, where he played key roles in major vacation resorts. Le Germain Hotel & Spa Charlevoix was the next stop in his distinguished career in 2018.
Thierry replaces Sylvie Dionne, who will now assume the position of Director of Culture and Talent. She will be based at the head office in Quebec City but will travel frequently to collaborate actively with the teams at all the Group's hotels in Canada. Sylvie has a thorough knowledge of the hotel industry having worked in the field since the 1980s. She has been involved in the expansion of Group Germain Hotels for 20 years and has held the reins of several of its properties.
